Sarah & Colin’s wedding at the Ritz hotel London was a truly touching occasion, the emotion was almost tangible from all involved in the celebrations – from a teary eye or two during the ceremony, to raucous laughter during the speeches. The perfect setting for reportage wedding photography. The ceremony took place in the Music Room, which looked absolutely stunning cast in a subtle pink light; we certainly took full advantage of the atmosphere to capture the emotion. The flowers by Paul Thomas were phenomenal, tiying in wonderfully with the decor of The Ritz Hotel and the theme of the wedding.
Ella from the Ritz was superb in ensuring all flowed smoothly throughout the event; we were particularly impressed that the Music room was turned around not twice but three times! Surprising the guests on each occasion; first for the ceremony, then for diner and finally as a nightclub. The Burlington Room provided the perfect backdrop for the champagne reception & later the speeches, which went down particularly well. In addition, the guests were treated to a specially commissioned painting of the front of the hotel, along with a miniture fleet of no.12 London buses, to commemorate the date of the wedding, which was on the 12th.
We were sure to take Sarah & Colin on a romantic trip around the hotel, taking photos at some of our favourite locations as they relaxed and enjoyed the day. The shot taken from the 3rd floor looking down at the foyer of the hotel is one we’re particularly fond of, the view through the circular aperture of each floor makes for a great picture.
Guests came from all over the world to celebrate the event, and from the expressions on their faces we’re confident they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves; we certainly did.
Thank you Sarah & Colin for allowing us to be part of your special day!
